Rhaetian Railway
the slowest express train in the world
You roll up to the clouds, through mountain landscapes, over mighty mountain rivers and past rugged rock faces. The ride on the Glacier Express route through the Swiss Alps is memorable - with a seeminlgy endless number of highlights.
Start in Chur or Tiefencastel and from there the "little red one" fights its way up. The Landwasser viaduct and the Albula route are UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
The destination is the metropolis of the Alps - St. Moritz. Here the modern winter sports were founded and even today this "city" is still a great experience. The hotel palaces like the Palace or the Kulm are world famous.
In general, the Engadine, which is already on the southern side of the Alps, is blessed. There is no other region in Switzerland that has so many sunny days per year. During the winter, the clear view and the white of the snow make the trip especially impressive!
